More Pictures of our Trip

These are some of the pictures from my phone, so they're definitely not as big or clear, but I wanted to post them anyway. The first two are from our ride on the metro (the Washington DC subway system).

The kids had a great time at the Lincoln Memorial, it was one of their favorite stops!
Then there's one of a happy moment in the car and one of the boys on the wagon ride in Nauvoo.

The next few are of the botanical garden in Asheville. The kids had so much fun running around, I had a hard time getting the boys to hold still for a photo! :o)

These are some pictures taken at the Biltmore Estate, again in Asheville.

Asheville

My sister Katie and her husband Ryan live in the beautiful city of Asheville, NC, so that was our final destination before heading back home. We were so happy to meet Nicole, Sara and Helen, and got to have dinner with my cousin Jennifer too!

Brandon's Birthday was celebrated at the Chuck-E-Cheese, and though my pictures aren't the greatest he had a huge grin on his face the whole time. My talented little sis made the fabulous bowling cake.

I can't believe he's eight!!! My wonderful 8-year-old will be baptized by his dad on June 5th.

*Washington DC*

Our visit to the Capital was spectacular!!! I'm just posting a few of my favorite pictures. We had a great time taking the metro (subway) and checking out all the museums -- Air and Space, Natural History, American History, International Spy Museum and National Building Museum. The boys especially loved the science lab in the American History Museum. We also went to the National Zoo, Washington monument, Lincoln Memorial, and Mount Vernon (George Washington's home). We lucked out and happened to be in town for the Open House at Jefferson Labs, which was informative and fun, and gave the kids tons of freebie pencils, rulers and activity books. It was super interesting for both adults and kids.

It would be impossible to include everything we did that week! It was jam-packed and so full wonderful memorable moments. I am so glad we went!

ROAD TRIP!!!

We've been home for a week and I'm finally getting back into normal routine of life and ready to post pictures of all the fun we had! The first day we drove to Denver, stopping in Laramie for pizza with some of my cousins. We stayed in the Denver area the next day and saw several friends and extended family members, but I totally forgot to take pictures.

These pictures are from Nauvoo. We stayed in nearby Quincy, IL with my cousin and had a great time with their family.

The kids had a blast on the wagon ride and stayed to pet the horses afterward. The kids also got to help make rope in the Family Living Center! The last picture was taken in Carthage, just outside the jail (the little blondie is my cousin's daughter).
